Stefano Guerini Rocco is a research fellow at the University of Bologna, where he collaborates on the project “WokeIt – Social responsibility and woke-washing in Italian Rai fiction”. He is an adjunct professor at the Catholic University of Milan and the SAE Institute in Milan. He earned is PhD at the University of Bergamo, developing a project about the evolution of the teen movie genre in the era of convergence culture. In 2019, he took part to the PRIN research project “CinCit – International Circulation of Italian Cinema” as a visiting researcher at the University of Svizzera Italiana and he started his collaboration at the Ce.R.T.A. – Research Center for Television and Audiovisual Media. He has participated in numerous international conferences and published in academic journals such as “Comunicazioni Sociali”, “Imago”, “L’avventura”, “Schermi”. He also writes as a film critic for periodicals and online magazines and he is a member of the organizing committee of the Documentary Summer School of the Locarno Film Festival.
