Leonardo Campagna is a PhD student in History of Europe (Dipartimento SARAS, Faculty of Lettere e Filosofia, Sapienza University of Rome). He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion and Costume Sciences in 2018, with a dissertation about contemporary a-gender and queer fashion trends analyzed through gender studies and feminist philosophy. In 2020, he received his Master’s Degree in Fashion Studies in 2020 with a dissertation about political messages in fashion decoded through Jacques Derrida’s theory of deconstruction. He is currently working on a research project concerning the history of politics of LGBTQ+ movements in Sicily from the 1970s until today. His research interests are queer and feminist history, philosophy and politics; post-structuralism, postcolonial theory and cultural studies; fashion, contemporary art and pop culture.
