Ilaria Puliti is completing a PhD in Film and Television Studies (University of Warwick) with a project investigating the politics and aesthetics of modernity in Italian rural cinema from the postwar to the contemporary period. She has given papers and published essays on the cinema of Alice Rohrwacher. Her research interests include girlhoods in Italian cinema, representations of rural spaces in world cinema, political ecology applied to film and television studies.
