Alice Mainardi obtained a PhD in Information Societies at the University of Milan-Bicocca. She was a Visiting Fellow at l’École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales EHESS in Paris, and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Scuola Normale Superiore. She is now a researcher in the Department of Sociology and Social Research at the University of Milan-Bicocca; she is vice-chair of the Women’s Network for Ecrea – the European Communication Research and Education Association, and on the board of ATGENDER – The European Association for Gender Research, Education and Documentation.
Her research interests include the body, relationships, sexuality and technologies; youth, girl culture, and different forms of political participation.
